"DEEP DIVE: China's Quest to Cut Undersea Cables and Dominate the Digital World"
By Ethan D.C
"More than relying on nuclear weapons, all the countries in the world rely heavily on missiles that can destroy satellites in space and weapons that can damage undersea cables. This is because, to authorize a nuclear attack, the assistance of satellites in space is required. If those satellites are destroyed, even a nuclear attack can be avoided. Among the nations of the world, four countries possess such weapons. The United States and Russia are among them, and the capability of the other two countries' weapons remains questionable, so we need not consider them here. In this matter, the U.S. weapons are always a step ahead of Russia's.
In this particular issue, we have no problems. However, in the matter of undersea cables, the recent news from China is causing concern for the U.S. But reports suggest that the U.S. has already started working on this issue. The current information indicates that China has developed a machine capable of cutting cables located approximately 400 feet under the sea. In the contemporary world, machines capable of cutting cables at a depth of only 2000 feet exist. However, China has now developed machines that can cut cables at a depth of 4000 feet.
This poses a threat. China has already demonstrated its capability by cutting cables multiple times in the Taiwan issue. During that period, the U.S. began working on this matter, creating a competing device that is many times more powerful and capable of operating in all parts of the world in the blink of an eye. Reports suggest that this device has already been created or is in the process of being created. Amidst this, China's announcement is spreading worldwide. This news serves as a warning that China must be dealt with swiftly. The Trump administration is ready to act, but when it will begin is being closely watched by Americans
